Koronos is a scenic village in Naxos, located 28 km from the island’s capital at an altitude of 540 meters, nestled in a lush valley. The village is strikingly set on a crevasse, with two distinct sections facing each other. Vineyards stretch across the hills, separated by traditional stone walls, adding to the dramatic landscape.

The village’s charming layout and traditional architecture create a picturesque atmosphere. Koronos is divided into seven neighborhoods connected by narrow, winding cobblestone streets.
Nearby, the Church of Panagia Argokoiliotissa hosts an annual festival every Friday after Easter Sunday, featuring music, dancing, food, and wine. In the heart of the village stands a large church dedicated to Saint Marina, celebrated with an all-night festivity on July 17th.
Koronos also features a Folklore Museum located in a stone building, showcasing artifacts and tools used by locals in daily life during past centuries.
